I am going to use skills learned during Patchwork Stories to do ethnographic interviews on the question of Can you tell me about a time when you didn't speak up, when you kept your mouth shut? I would like to interview a range of people. Intersectional. Is it a feminist question? I guess I won't know til I start asking and collecting. I want to work on my editing techniques and am considering writing a script to be read by a voice actor following my interviews. I am imagining an installation of a room (very small room) filled with wallpaper (like this?) and once you walk in the room voices start up, overlapping, distorting but with stories coming through as well.
*How will I honour my participants?
*Work it out.
